If I were to ask you right now, what your number one priority in life was, immediately something would come to mind. Each person would more than likely have a different answer. Some people would say their children. Some would say their job. Some would say their spouse or their marriage. Some would say taking care of my elderly parents who need assistance. Some would say school and graduating. I would get an assortment of answers. The thing is, there should only be one number one priority in each of our lives, and that should be Jesus Christ. When I ask that question, there should be one answer and we should all answer the same. You see if you asked me that question a year ago, I would have answered something completely different than what I would now. If you asked me that question five years ago, I would have answered quite differently than I would now. You see if you asked me a year ago what my priority was, I would have probably said something like, "Making sure I pass and get through nursing school, while also making sure I have time to go out and party with my friends." If you asked me five years ago I would have probably said something like, "Making sure I go to college and experience what college is truly like." You see, making sure that I pass and get through nursing school is important and it's okay for it to be, but that shouldn't be my first priority. You see, being a good parent or a good spouse, or making sure you have a good job with a good income is important, but it shouldn't be your first priority. Making sure your online business is successful and sharing posts about it is important, but it shouldn't be your first priority. Your first priority should always be Jesus. And I'll tell you what will happen when you allow things to come before Jesus in your life. You will live a life full of disappointment. You will live a life full of heartbreak. You will live a life full of uncertainty. You will never feel like you are full, you will always be hungry and thirsty for something more. When Jesus becomes a priority in your life, He will start working in your life in ways you couldn't imagine before. When Jesus sees that you're making Him a priority in your life, He will open doors for you that you didn't even know could or needed to be opened. When you start making Jesus number one in your life, you will have a feeling of inner peace and contentment that nothing in this world will bring you. Jesus made you a priority when he went to the cross and gave His life so you could be saved and washed clean by the blood, yet you're making a boyfriend/girlfriend that abuses you mentally, a job that doesn't appreciate you, or whatever it may be that is leaving you broken and lost take priority over your life. I am here to tell you that you don't need to do that because you can make Jesus a priority and he will heal your broken heart and wounds. He will provide better healthier opportunities for you because He has special plans for your life, plans to prosper. Once I started making Jesus the number one priority in my life, He opened incredible doors in my life I didn't even know were possible. God opened the door for this blog, and if it wasn't for the fact I made Him a priority I wouldn't be here typing this. God opened the door for me to start making Bible study videos, but if I didn't make Him the priority in my life, I wouldn't have started making them on my own. I am here to tell you that when God becomes the priority in your life and the center of your life, amazing things will happen as a result. You will still go through hard times and trials, but when Jesus comes first, you will have the reassurance of knowing that you have someone who you can trust 100% to get you through whatever battle you're facing. I want to encourage you that if Jesus isn't a priority in your life or if you don't know Jesus at all, you allow Him to become number one and you get to know Him. It will be the best decision you will make. You will no longer have to live a life full of emptiness. You will no longer wake up each day and feel worthless and that no one loves you. You will no longer have to search for happiness in things of this world. You will no longer have to be depressed and angry every single day. God will heal you. He will make you feel worthy again. He will bring positive people and situations into your life. All you have to do is come to Him, invite Him into your heart and your life, ask for forgiveness, make Him a priority, and allow Him to work in your life. Build a relationship with Him by praying, reading your Bible, and getting to know the amazing man He is. Next time someone asks you what your number one priority is, I pray you answer "Jesus Christ." I am praying for each and every person who encounters this blog. I pray you search your hearts and truly decide what comes first in your life, and if it's not Jesus, that that changes today. I pray that each person reading this blog makes Jesus the number one priority. I pray that every person reading this who has made things of this world the priority but still feels empty and sad and like they are just missing something, allows God to come into their lives and fill that void with His love. I pray for a change of heart for those who need it. I pray for God to work in amazing ways in each and every person's life who makes Him the number one priority. As always, if you ever need someone to help you grow in your relationship or if you don't know God and not sure how you get to know Him, please reach out to me. I don't want you to miss out on something great because you felt like you didn't know how to get there. Love you guys and praying for you ALWAYS. <3
